These lions – often called Fu Dogs in the western cultures – were believed to have mythic powers to turn aside evil actions and intent.Cast in silver copper right here at WhyteWing, this bold statement is offered on a wrapped wire chain of Serpentine stone. Silver Copper, sometimes called “white copper” is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc.This Fu Dog pendant is 65 mm wide, which translates to approximately 2.5 inches. The necklace is Princess length, which is 18 inches long, including the clasp. For more length/drape, there are matching necklace extenders available here. The photos are taken on a full size display to provide a fair reference for where the necklace will fall when you wear it. Both the lion and the chain are marked copper. The clasp is sterling silver plated over solid brass, so it matches the silver copper necklace while providing superior strength.Copper will patina over the years.  I add a high quality protective coating to my copper pieces which will delay patina changes and limit skin contact reactivity for an extended time.
