Silver Crane Medallion, Carnelian Hand Beaded Chain

Product DescriptionThe crane is a Japanese symbol of grace, happiness and longevity, represented here in solid silver-tone bronze. This Silver Crane medallion is presented on a distinctive chain of Carnelian stone, designed for this piece in particular.The silver bronze medallion was hand cast right here at WhyteWing. The crane design is based on a tinker’s hand wrought brooch which belonged to my Grandmother. Lore refers to carnelian as “the setting sun” and associates the rich color with the vitality of life itself. It is the stone of courage and the semiprecious birthstone for the month of July.Our Silver Crane design measures approximately 40 mm from top to bottom. That translates to just over 1.5 inches in diameter, and the chain measures approximately 19 inches long. For more length/drape, there are coordinating necklace extenders available here. Our signature oversize lobster clasp and hexagon link closure are sterling silver plated over brass.
