If you consign small lithium batteries for transport by any mode, whether on their own or in / with equipments you are required to be trained. This short online course meets the requirements for those shipping small lithium batteries and cells, such as those found in laptops, mobile phones and watches. It has been designed by industry experts for those who pack and ship Section II lithium ion and lithium metal cells and batteries. The content covers all modes of transport, and the course would normally take up to 1 hour in total. It can be undertaken in your own time and at your own pace. In taking this course you will learn how to: • classify lithium batteries for transport; • complete the necessary documentation; • mark, label, and package consignments correctly. Once you have successfully completed the course you will be provided with a certificate, valid for two years, to show that they have received “Adequate Instruction” in accordance with the regulations.
