ADR2025 applies from 1 January 2025, although there is a 6-month transitional period until full implementation. Adopted on 30 September 1957 in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the ADR entered into force on 29 January 1968. The ADR is intended to increase the safety of international transport of dangerous goods by road. The Agreement has been regularly amended and updated since its entry into force to establish international requirements and procedures for training and safety obligations of participants. Annex A: General provisions and provisions concerning dangerous articles and substances, in particular, packaging and labelling. Annex B: Provisions concerning transport equipment and transport operations, in particular, construction, equipment and operation of the vehicle carrying the goods in question.
